how can i biuld a passive solar water heater for my rv?

Question by markwinslade: how can i biuld a passive solar water heater for my rv?

Best answer:

Answer by Dan
Strictly passive would be to figure out a way to mount a 55 gallon barrel painted flat black on the outside and mount to your RV’s roof. Looks really cool and doesn’t affect the aerodynamics of your sled at all.

OK…better bet would be to mount a solar hot water generating panel on the roof and pipe things into the existing heater keeping the existing source of power as backup. Check with your local RV shop for help.
